Treeside Charter School Board of Trustees
Board Members
BOARD CHAIR
Kimber Pritchard
Background: A member of the School Board, has and currently owns businesses in the food service industry. She has previously been Food Service Director at Treeside Charter School where she was able to turn around a lunch program that was losing money when she came on board to one that could support itself and grow. This time in school management also helped her learn of many grants, school regulations, and the financial workings of a school. Owning businesses has also increased her skills in understanding finances, managing, and helping those around her succeed and grow. Community involvement has been a part of Kimber's professional and personal life.
VICE CHAIR
Jose Rivera
Background: Jose Rivera brings nearly 18 years of military leadership, technical oversight, and financial expertise to the Treeside Charter School Board. He currently serves with the Utah Army National Guard's Army Aviation 1-211th unit as a 15R4O Senior Non-Commissioned Officer, where he oversees the maintenance and mission-readiness of a fleet of eight AH-64E Apache helicopters — aircraft valued at approximately $35 million each, representing a total fleet value of roughly $280 million. His responsibilities include supervising technical maintenance teams, evaluating training programs and facility compliance with federal directives and safety standards, and conducting maintenance trend analysis to ensure operational readiness.
From 2012 to 2021, Jose served as Supervisor at the Utah Translation & Analysis Center, managing a joint Army, Air Force, and civilian team and overseeing budget compliance, billing requirements, and workflow management while upholding workplace safety and equal opportunity standards. For over 10 years, he also supported the 300th Military Intelligence Brigade on classified projects related to national security, and he currently holds a Top Secret clearance (TS/SCI).
In addition to his military career, Jose has worked as a licensed real estate agent for more than four years, successfully closing millions of dollars in transaction volume. This experience has sharpened his understanding of finance, contracts, and asset management — skills directly applicable to sound fiscal oversight on the school board.
Jose is pursuing an Associate Degree in Business Management from Utah Valley University and is fluent in Spanish. He is recognized for his strong interpersonal and public speaking skills, collaborative leadership style, and commitment to community service.
